This Privacy Policy explains how the Theft & Battery Alarm app for Android and Wear OS
(package com.appfortech.tba, the "App" or "Service"), developed by Arda Çuhadaroğlu (AppForTech,
"I", "me", "we"), handles your information. The App is offered as a free, ad-supported version and as a
version without ads, with optional in-app purchases.
By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy. The terms used here have the same meaning as in our Terms & Conditions.
To work, the App stores the following on your device. It is not sent to me:
This data is deleted when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
Password recovery. If you forget your theft alarm password and ask the App to e-mail it to you,
the App sends your recovery e-mail address and your alarm password over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to
my server at appfortech.net, which sends the recovery e-mail to that address. This data is used only
to send that e-mail.
Google Drive backup and restore. If you choose to back up your settings, the App asks for your
permission to use a private, app-only folder in your own Google Drive (the drive.appdata
scope). The backup file containing your settings is stored there and is read back only when you restore.
I do not have access to your Google Drive or to the backup file. You can delete it in Google Drive under
Settings › Manage apps.
Sending a log file. If you choose to send the diagnostic log to the developer, your e-mail app opens with the log attached and you decide whether to send it. If you do, I receive the log and your e-mail address, and use them only to answer you and fix problems.
Wear OS companion app. The phone and watch apps exchange battery level, charging state and alarm status through Google's Wearable Data Layer. This data travels directly between your own devices and is not sent to me.
The App uses the following services from Google. They may collect information such as device and app identifiers (including the advertising ID), IP address, device model, operating system version, app version, and how and when the App is used. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.
Every permission can be refused or revoked in Android settings; the related feature may then not work.
In the free version you can change your ad consent at any time from About › Data Usage Policy (shown where required). You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads). Buying the premium version removes ads.
To request access to or deletion of any data I hold about you, e-mail appfortechinfo@gmail.com.
Data sent by the App is transmitted over encrypted connections, and the alarm password is kept in encrypted storage on your device. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App may contain links to other websites (for example support pages or third-party policies). I do not control these sites and am not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact me and I will delete it.
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date and take effect when posted.
