Theft alarm and password

The theft alarm rings at full volume if someone unplugs your phone while it charges, for example in a café, office or airport. Only your password stops it.

Turning it on

  1. Plug in your charger.
  2. Tap the Theft Alarm card on the main screen.
  3. If you haven't set a password yet, the app asks you to create one.

To arm it together with the charge alarm, turn on Settings › Auto Enable Theft Alarm.

When it rings

Enter your password on the keypad to stop it. The volume-down key is blocked while it rings so the alarm can't simply be silenced.

The theft alarm's own sound, vibration and silent-mode behaviour are in Settings › Sound › Theft Alarm Settings.

Setting or changing the password

Settings › Security › Set/Change Password. You can also turn on Password on Settings so nobody can turn the alarm off from the settings screen.

I forgot my password

When you set a password the app offers to register an e-mail address for password recovery. If you registered one, tap Forgot Password on the password screen and the password is sent to that address. This needs an internet connection.

If you didn't register an e-mail, you can stop a ringing alarm only with the password. As a last resort, clearing the app's data (App info › Storage › Clear data) resets the password together with all your settings.

Your e-mail address is used only to send you your password. See the privacy policy.

Still not working? Send us an error report from the app (how to) and we'll take a look.
